This paper utilizes a portable electroencephalography (EEG) device and presents a new method for estimation of vigilance level of an individual by utilizing event-related potentials (P300 and N100) of EEG signals and eye blink rate.
A map-based image steganography scheme for RGB images
Majority of research in steganography focuses on hiding the secret information into the cover directly. The payload can be more secured by not embedding the secret in the cover at all. Instead, a partial information about the secret may be embedded which can be used for later payload realisation. This typically appears analogous to random noise and cannot regenerate the payload without a key. Common approaches to achieve such information include pre-embedding payload encryption.

EEG-Based Mental Workload Estimation
Despite the availability of various mental workload evaluation techniques such as heart rate variability, pupil dilation, sac-cades, etc., assessment of mental workload is still a challenging task. In this work, we aim to evaluate the workload of the operator involved in long duration tasks.
Mental Workload Estimation from EEG Signals Using Machine Learning Algorithms
Multitasking conditions prevalent in many environments such as critical operations in defense activities, evaluating user interfaces in man-machine interaction, etc. require assessment of mental workload of operators. However, mental workload (MWL) cannot be perceived directly as it is a complex and abstract property of human physiology.
Detecting Vigilance in People Performing Continual Monitoring Task
Vigilance or sustained attention is an extremely important aspect in monotonous and prolonged attention seeking tasks. Recently, Event Related Potentials (ERPs) of Electroencephalograph (EEG) have garnered great attention from the researchers for their application in the task of vigilance assessment.
Correlation of P300 ERPs with visual stimuli and its application to vigilance detection
Vigilance or sustained attention is defined as the ability to maintain concentrated attention over prolonged time periods. It is an important aspect in industries such as aerospace and nuclear power, which involve tremendous man-machine interaction and where safety of any component/system or environment as a whole is extremely crucial. Many methods for vigilance detection, based on biological and behavioral characteristics, have been proposed in the literature.
BCI augmented text entry mechanism for people with special needs
The ability to feel, adapt, reason, remember and communicate makes human a social being. Disabilities limit opportunities and capabilities to socialize. With the recent advancement in brain-computer interface (BCI) technology, researchers are exploring if BCI can be augmented with human computer interaction (HCI) to give a new hope of restoring independence to disabled individuals. This motivates us to lay down our research objective, which is as follows.
Secure key based image realization steganography
Steganography is the science of hiding crucial information in someinnocuous objects such that the mere existence of the hidden information is unidentifiable in human sight. Various unique methodologies have been implemented over time to hide information using steganography. In most of the methodologies the exact secret information is hidden inside the cover image in a way that it is completely unrecognizable.
